If you follow this rule 👆 you will look like a person full of values - who is calm, warm and friendly by Japanese.
Have you ever got annoyed by the person next to you shouting on the phone? 🗣.
Or someone who kept their ringtone to maximum volume that ruined your peaceful nap 💤?.
In worst case scenarios you will find people who will turn on speaker 🔊 while talking, revealing the entire conversation to all around grabbing attention from every corner.
I think many Japanese have been through these scenarios especially on trains, so they came up with this new rule 👇. This rule is applicable in bus, Metro, Airplane and so on… even in holy places (along with appropriate dress code which will discuss later).
Here, I just gave an example regarding some annoying people using their phones ruining a peaceful & calm environment, no matter whether they are traveling or walking or dining or visit a zoo staring at Gorilla’s abs 🦍.
There are so many people out there who will travel with their friends (or) family members talking out loud discussing about their plans or sharing their experiences and so on… - Which is appreciated but only when it is not tickling others ears 👂.
See, children 👶 making noise is acceptable and most of the times it is adorable 😍.
Yet, as a grown persons if we create unnecessary sound pollution it will make us look disrespectful or immature.
Also, in some cases shouting or yelling to call someone on the unknown land is fair enough.
So, if you missed from your group or found the missed buddy, it’s okay to yell like an emergency siren 📣 no matter how others might think of you.
But, make sure you won’t repeat the same mistake.
You can also show the apology card shown below 👇.
I will share more cards like this when we start learning about “MUST TRY” & “MUST VISIT”. Stay tuned.
So, that’s it. I hope you have learned something new today and I wish you will follow this rule whenever you visit Japan.
Also, I believe this rule applies to every country on this planet 🌍🌎🌏 - Because, it’s common sense!.
